India Glycols Ltd and Transport Corporation of India Ltd jointly organised the 4th Road Safety Event and health camp on 4th of March 2017 at India Glycols campus, Kashipur. The focus of the event was on Road Safety and to promote general safety practices. The event saw a participation of over 350 people. Many government officials, industry leaders and over 50 transporters from various places with different fleet category owning over 5000 vehicles, along with their 150 drivers associated with India Glycols Limited were present at the event.
Health camps & games were organized simultaneously by TCI Foundation (A division of Transport Corporation of India Ltd) with the event. Activities like health checkup, health games – slogan writing, panjja ladaoo, bucket uttaoo, and various quizzes were conducted in order to give safety and health message in a simplified manner.
Mr. Rajkiran Kanagala, Group Head- Business Development, said “It’s a platform to share knowledge & give safety tips to drivers to perform their job safely while driving on road, knowledge acquired by participation at this event is one of the methods to spread awareness & to create an effective safety culture. At TCI we believe in doing such trainings on a regular basis be it road safety, electrical safety, fire safety or material handling safety.”
