Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant in Sindri, Jharkhand. The plant, developed at a cost exceeding ₹8,900 crore, is jointly owned by Maharatna Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) including Coal India Limited (CIL), NTPC Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), Fertiliser Corporation of India Limited (FCIL), and HFCL. As reported by PSUWATCH, this marks the revival of the third fertilizer plant in the country, following the successful revival of fertilizer plants in Gorakhpur and Ramagundam.
