Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), a renewable energy company, successfully initiated operations for a cumulative capacity of 1,000 MW of solar energy at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat, which stands as the world’s largest renewable energy park. AGEL has now reached an operational capacity of 9,478 MW and remains steadfast in its pursuit of reaching 45,000 MW by the year 2030.
AGEL completed the delivery of 1,000 MW in under twelve months from the commencement of work at Khavda. The monumental task involved the installation of approximately 2.4 million solar modules. The accelerated progress underscores AGEL’s strong commitment to India’s ambitious goal of attaining 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. As reported by msn.com, the Khavda Renewable Energy Park, which has a capacity of 30 GW, spans a vast 538 square kilometres of barren land, which is five times the size of Paris.
