The Department of Pharmaceuticals unveiled an expanded Pharmaceuticals Technology Upgradation Assistance Scheme, representing a notable initiative aimed at enhancing the technological capacities of India’s pharmaceutical sector and bringing it in line with international standards.
As reported by The Hans India, under the updated scheme, all pharmaceutical manufacturing units with turnovers below Rs 500 crore are eligible. The revised guidelines seek to facilitate the industry’s transition to Revised Schedule-M and WHO-GMP standards, thereby elevating the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products manufactured domestically.
