Sanjiv Puri, Chairman and Managing Director of ITC, appointed as the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the 2024-25 term, taking over from R Dinesh, the Chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions. Puri heads ITC Ltd, a conglomerate with interests in FMCG, hotels, paperboards and packaging, agribusiness, and IT. He also chairs ITC Infotech India Ltd and its subsidiaries in the UK and US, along with Surya Nepal Private Ltd.
In addition, CII has named Rajiv Memani, Chairman of EY India, as the President designate for the same period. Memani is part of EY’s global management team and leads its global emerging markets committee. As reported by ManufacturingToday, R Mukundan, Managing Director and CEO of Tata Chemicals Ltd, has been appointed as the Vice President of CII for 2024-25. Mukundan is also a fellow of the Indian Chemical Society.
