Suzlon bagged order from the Aditya Birla Group for developing a 551.25 MW wind power project. The project involves the installation of 175 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a capacity of 3.15 MW, featuring hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) towers. The installations will take place at sites in the Barmer district of Rajasthan and the Bhuj district of Gujarat.
Suzlon will be responsible for supplying the wind turbines and executing the entire project, including erection and commissioning, in Rajasthan. In Gujarat, Suzlon will supply the turbines and oversee their installation and commissioning. The turbines will utilize doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) technology, ensuring their integration into the utility network to comply with grid requirements.
The power generated from this project will be used for captive consumption by Aditya Birla Group companies. As reported by Projects Today, the project is expected to provide electricity to approximately 4,54,000 households and potentially reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 1.792 million tons annually.
