Ajooni Biotech Ltd. announced collaboration with Avalon Bioenergy, the Indian branch of the US based Avalon Energy Group, to sustainably process moringa in India. The collaboration will lead to the establishment of facilities, including crushing and drying mills, for processing moringa seeds and leaves.
Avalon will focus on extracting and marketing oil, while Ajooni will use the residual oil cake to produce animal feed products. These products will be processed further and distributed within India and for export.
Avalon Bioenergy, an Indian company specializing in clean energy biorefineries, is dedicated to designing, building, and operating multiple manufacturing plants across India. These plants will produce biodiesel, glycerin, sustainable aviation fuel, oleochemicals, and other products.
As reported by ndtvprofit.com, to support the initiative, Avalon is leasing or acquiring arable land for cultivating moringa oleifera and other oilseed crops throughout the country. Additionally, the company is entering contract-farming agreements with both large and small cooperatives to grow the crops.
