The Board of Bhansali Engineering Polymers provided updates on the proposed expansion of ABS production capacity from 75,000 tons per annum (TPA) to 2,00,000 TPA at the company’s existing facilities in Abu Road, Rajasthan, and Satnoor, Madhya Pradesh.
The Board was informed that the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) report and capex cost estimation, initially expected from TOYO in June 2024, are facing delays. The delays are primarily due to extensive interactions with international suppliers to select the most advanced machinery for critical process sub-systems, including slurry filtration, powder drying, and strand pelletising systems.
As reported by business-standard.com, the FEED package, along with a realistic project cost, is now anticipated by the end of September 2024. Despite the delays, the management is committed to adhering to the original project schedule, aiming for completion by March 2026.
