Thirteen companies have been shortlisted to receive subsidies in the second phase of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) scheme, aimed at boosting the production of electrolysers in the country. Among the selected firms are Adani Enterprises, Waaree Energies, Ohmium Operations, and Avaada Electrolysers.

The SIGHT scheme, part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, has a total financial allocation of ₹17,490 crore for the manufacturing of electrolysers and the production of green hydrogen. In this second tranche, ₹2,200 crore has been earmarked for incentives.

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) had earlier received bids from 23 companies for a total of 2,847 MW, surpassing the offered capacity of 1,500 MW across different technology categories. However, the outcomes of these financial bids remain subject to further revision.

As reported by projectstoday.com, bids invited in May were divided into three categories: any stack technology (bucket 1), indigenously developed stack technology (bucket 2A), and indigenously developed stack technology for smaller units (bucket 2B).
