Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd., aims to commission its planned ₹1,130 crore plant in Odisha during the latter half of 2027. Additionally, the company is gearing up to establish two more greenfield facilities for the production of lithium iron phosphate (LFP).
Construction for the Odisha plant, dedicated to LFP production, will commence in January 2025. In its initial phase, the plant will have an output capacity of approximately 40,000 tons per annum.
LFP is a crucial component in lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. The facility will enable the company to expand into the rapidly growing EV and energy storage markets.
The company also plans to invest around ₹4,800 crore over the course of five to six years, with the aim of producing roughly 2,00,000 tons of LFP. As reported by projectstoday.com, the move aligns with the brand strategy to develop advanced products for sustained growth in the coming years.
