Infener Unveils Plans for 20 MW Green Hydrogen Facility in Germany

Infener partnered with the City of Gengenbach to develop a 20 MW green hydrogen hub. The facility is expected to produce up to 2,000 tons of green hydrogen annually, providing the Ortenau district with decentralized, climate-neutral, and cost-effective energy. The hydrogen will be generated through water electrolysis, utilizing renewable energy within grid-supporting hydrogen hubs.

Earlier this year, Infener initiated the construction of additional hubs in Villingen-Schwenningen and Neumünster. The company aims to establish decentralized hubs throughout Europe, making a significant contribution to the hydrogen strategy. As reported by renewablewatch.in, the German government’s National Hydrogen Strategy seeks to create a domestic electrolysis capacity of 10 GW by 2030.
