Hindustan Zinc Bags Two Prestigious Honours at the 2024 CSR Impact Awards

Hindustan Zinc bagged two major accolades at the 2024 CSR Impact Awards. The company was honoured with the Water and Sanitary Health (WASH) award for its innovative initiatives, including Udaipur’s first-ever Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), RO Hubs, and RO ATMs, which have provided clean water and improved sanitation in fifty villages.

The STP, developed through a public-private partnership, treats sixty million liters of sewage daily, enhancing water quality and supporting sustainable agriculture in the region.

As reported by manufacturingtodayindia.com, Hindustan Zinc also received recognition in the promotion of sports category for its Zinc Football Academy, which focuses on developing grassroots football talent. The academy’s success stories include six players selected for the national team, with many others advancing to state and district teams. It has become a hub for youth development and the promotion of football culture in the area.

Through its extensive community programs, Hindustan Zinc has positively impacted around 2 million people across 3,700 villages. The company’s initiatives also emphasize education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, and women’s empowerment, showcasing its commitment to driving lasting social change. This dedication has earned Hindustan Zinc a spot among India’s top 10 CSR contributors.
