SAFETEMBER 2024 Conference Marks Its Fifth Year: Pioneering Process Safety in India

SAFETEMBER, the preeminent technical forum in India dedicated exclusively to advancing Process Safety and Risk Management, once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to excellence during its extraordinarily successful fifth edition held from 17th to 19th September 2024.

Organized by Kaypear Engineering LLP and Three Ten Initiative Technologies LLP, SAFETEMBER 2024 united industry leaders and experts under one roof to elevate process safety standards.

SAFETEMBER 2024 stood apart from the crowd by staying true to its core mission: to be the highest quality technical forum in India for process safety. SAFETEMBER maintained its relentless focus on technical exchange and knowledge sharing. The event served as a beacon of excellence, drawing participants who were genuinely eager to enhance the safety performance of the Indian process safety industry, recognizing that ONE ACCIDENT IS ONE TOO MANY.

The three-day conference held in Vadodara brought together global process safety experts and key stakeholders from various industries, including oil and gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, safety system manufacturers, technology, and engineering companies.

With SAFETEMBER 2024 being the fifth edition of the conclave, it followed the resounding success of its predecessors. The event attracted over 110 attendees from a diverse array of industries, including chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and refining, as well as equipment manufacturers and service providers. An impressive representation of over fifty participating companies displayed the event’s broad industry appeal.

Notably, over 80% of the attendees hailed from major refining, chemical, and petrochemical companies, underscoring the industry’s collective commitment to enhancing process safety. The conference featured a comprehensive program, including three full-day workshops conducted by Fariss Engineering, DNV, and H.E.L Group focusing on essential aspects of process safety. The subsequent two-day conference had keynote presentations by Madhur Saxena, Corporate Safety Head at Deepak Nitrite and Amresh K. Deshmukh, Head PSM – British Safety Council followed by eleven technical sessions, each accompanied by detailed presentations and interactive Q&A sessions.

Attendees were able to glean valuable insights and engage in knowledge-sharing sessions with their peers from various organizations and leadership levels. The cross-pollination of ideas across industry domains, spanning chemical, petrochemical, pharma, refining, and services, was widely appreciated. SAFETEMBER 2024 concluded on a high note, with plans already in place for the sixth edition scheduled to convene in the month of September 2025 in Mumbai.
