SunSource Energy Named a Finalist for the Twenty-sixth Annual Platts Global Energy Awards

SunSource Energy, provider of solar energy solutions and a subsidiary of SHV Energy, a 127-year-old Dutch multinational, has been selected as a finalist for the Platts Global Energy Awards program, now in its 26th year.

 The Platts Global Energy Awards recognize corporate and individual innovation, leadership, and exemplary performance in nineteen categories spanning the entire energy and chemicals value chain.

SunSource Energy has been announced as one of the twelve finalists for the ‘Infrastructure Project of the Year’ award’ for its clean energy transition project in Lakshadweep.

As per the press release, constructed by SunSource Energy for Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the project boasts a combined solar capacity of 1.7 MW and a 1.4 MWh battery storage system and is one of the first on-grid solar projects with a cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for island electrification in India.
