Vedanta Limited announced plans to invest ₹1 lakh crore in the establishment of an alumina refinery and an aluminium plant in Odisha. The investment will fund the construction of a six-million-ton-per-year alumina refinery, alongside a three-million-ton-per-year aluminium plant.
As reported by msn.com, both facilities will focus on producing green aluminium, powered by renewable energy sources.
Vedanta Ltd’s Chairman, Anil Agarwal stated, “Our investments underscore our commitment to inclusive growth and industrial development in the state. Under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s leadership, we will continue to drive economic progress, uplift communities, and improve the quality of life for millions across Odisha”.
