John Cockerill and Jindal collaboration to provide an advanced colour coating line (CCL) to be installed at Jindal’s Ranihati Works.

John Cockerill and Jindal collaboration to produce high-quality coated steel, reinforcing the company’s position in the local premium steel market and showcasing its intention to broaden its range of steel products for the appliance and construction sectors.

John Cockerill India Limited will supply the complete colour coating line, which includes essential components such as two pay-off reels, a stitcher machine, a multi-stage cleaning section, a vertical entry accumulator, a tension leveller, chemical coating systems, drying and paint coaters with curing ovens featuring RTO, an exit accumulator, an inspection station, a cold laminator, and two tension reels.

The CCL is designed to accommodate steel strips of various thicknesses and widths, utilizing cutting-edge technology. As reported by manufacturingtodayindia.com, it boasts high-speed continuous processing capabilities, allowing for the production of a diverse range of coated products using coatings such as polyester, RMP, SMP, epoxy, PVC, PU, PVDF, and Teflon.

Francois David Martino, President of John Cockerill Industry and Chairman of the Board of Directors at John Cockerill India Limited, emphasized the significance of collaborating with a reliable, long-term partner in their pursuit of superior steel production.

The partnership underlines commitment to excellence, particularly in high-end sectors such as automotive and white goods. The new Color Coating Line is expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
