TruAlt Bioenergy Bags Ethanol Contract with Oil Marketing Companies

TruAlt Bioenergy bagged ethanol supply contract with India’s leading Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) under the ethanol blending program for the ethanol supply year (ESY) 2024-25.

The contract, marking the country’s largest ethanol order in the first cycle of ESY 2024-25, covers 300 million liters, strengthening TruAlt’s commitment to meeting India’s fuel needs and advancing the government’s ethanol-blending goals.

Broader Supply Commitments to Private Players and Industry Sectors

In addition to its agreement with OMCs, TruAlt Bioenergy has also secured an order to supply approximately 65 million liters of ethanol to private players.

Furthermore, the company will deliver 50 million liters of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) to various industries, amplifying its impact across both the energy and industrial markets in India.

Expanding Nationwide Reach with Robust Production Capacity

As India’s largest ethanol producer, TruAlt Bioenergy will supply ethanol to major locations nationwide, leveraging its impressive production capacity of 1.4 million liters per day and a 4.3% market share.

Significant National Impact of India’s Ethanol Blending Program

For ESY 2024-25, OMCs have invited bids for approximately 9.16 billion liters of Denatured Anhydrous Ethanol to achieve a 15% nationwide blend.

The Ethanol Blending Program has generated substantial benefits over the past decade, saving ₹1,060.72 billion in foreign exchange, cutting CO₂ emissions by 544 lakh metric tons, and replacing 181 lakh metric tons of crude oil.
