Gensol Engineering has secured a significant contract worth Rs 897 crore from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) to develop a 225 MW grid-connected solar project. This project represents a major milestone in advancing solar energy infrastructure in India.
Project Location and Scope
The solar project will be developed at the GSECL Solar Park (Stage-III) in Khavda, located in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The contract includes the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 225 MW-AC solar installation. This equals 276 MW-DC and connects to the grid.
Timeline and Responsibilities
Gensol Engineering will also handle operations and maintenance (O&M) as part of the agreement. The entire project, including O&M services, is scheduled for completion within a span of three years.

The contract was officially executed last week between NTPC REL and Gensol Engineering. This marks the beginning of an ambitious renewable energy initiative.
