Major Expansion in Ethanol Production
BCL is set to make a significant leap in its ethanol production capacity.
The Bathinda distillery’s capacity will increase from 400 KLPD to 550 KLPD. Additionally, the company is making substantial progress on a 250 KLPD grain-based ethanol plant at its newly acquired site in Haryana.
The expansions will boost BCL’s total distillery capacity from 700 KLPD to 1100 KLPD in the near future, further strengthening its leadership in the grain-based ethanol sector.
Currently, BCL’s distillery in Kharagpur, West Bengal, operates with a 300 KLPD capacity.
Strengthening Green Energy Initiatives
BCL is actively enhancing its green energy projects. Construction of a 75 KLPD Bio-Diesel plant at the Bathinda distillery is progressing rapidly.
Additionally, the Kharagpur distillery has received approval to establish a 75 KLPD bio-diesel plant. These initiatives reinforce BCL’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions and industry leadership.
