Va Tech Wabag Bags ISTP Project in Riyadh

Va Tech Wabag, a global player in water technology, has secured a contract worth approximately ₹3,251 crore. The project involves developing a 200 MLD Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The project aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to enhance sewage treatment services and improve residents’ quality of life.

Consortium Partnership for Project Execution

Va Tech Wabag will serve as the Technology Partner and lead the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) consortium for the ISTP.

The company will collaborate with Miahona Company, Marafiq, and N.V. Besix S.A. to execute the project.

Mutlaq Al-Ghowairi Contracting Company (MGC) will be responsible for constructing the transmission pipeline and reservoir.

The contract follows WABAG’s recent Engineering and Procurement (EP) order. It involves a 20 MLD Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant at the Ras Tanura Refinery Complex in Saudi Arabia.

The company’s strong track record in the region played a key role in securing this repeat order.
