DCM Shriram Chemicals, driven by its vision of ‘Delivering Sustainable Solutions’, has partnered with the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai to launch two research projects.

The initiatives aim to transform greenhouse gases like CO₂ and biomass-derived lignin into green solvents and advanced materials.

Official Project Launch

The projects were formally launched recently in the presence of:

  • Prof. S. T. Mhaske, Head, Dept. of Polymer & Surface Engineering
  • Sabaleel Nandy, ED & CEO, DCM Shriram Chemicals
  • Dr. Debabrata Rautaray, Chief Product Development & Innovation Officer, DCM Shriram Chemicals

Bridging Research and Industry

Designed to meet DCM Shriram’s sustainability goals, these specialized R&D projects will be conducted under the supervision of ICT experts.

The partnership ensures high academic and research standards while accelerating the commercialization of breakthrough green technologies.

A Milestone in Sustainable Innovation

The projects stem from the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2024 between DCM Shriram Chemicals, a unit of DCM Shriram Ltd., and ICT Mumbai.

As per the press release, the collaboration reinforces their shared commitment to pioneering sustainable solutions.
