BGR Tech Ltd, a Prenora holding company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Elchemtech Co. Ltd, South Korea. The agreement aims to introduce Advanced Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyser (PEMWE) technology in India. Under the collaboration, Elchemtech will supply its high-efficiency PEM electrolysers, which BGR Tech will integrate with its Balance of Plant (BoP) for various projects.

Priyadershini Raghupathy, Founder and Chairperson of BGR Tech Ltd, and S.B. Moon, CEO of Elchemtech Co. Ltd, formalized the agreement during India Energy Week 2025. The signing took place in the presence of Donghyun Kim, Managing Director, along with other dignitaries from KOTRA – Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.
Boosting Local Manufacturing with “Make in India” Initiative
Both companies are exploring opportunities to manufacture or assemble PEM stacks in India, leveraging Elchemtech’s expertise. This initiative aligns with the “Make in India” policy and aims to strengthen India’s green hydrogen ecosystem by localizing key electrolyser components.
