
H.E.L Group (H.E.L), a global developer and manufacturer of laboratory tools for process optimization, safety, and scale-up, has signed a three-year research agreement with the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai.
The collaboration aims to advance process safety in chemical synthesis. It combines H.E.L’s cutting-edge technology with ICT Mumbai’s academic expertise in chemical sciences and engineering.
Integration of Advanced Calorimetry for Safer Processes
As part of the agreement, H.E.L will provide ICT Mumbai with its Simular Process Development Reaction Calorimeter. This state-of-the-art system is designed for applications including:
- Adiabatic calorimetry
- Autocatalysis studies
- Batch and semi-batch reactor analysis
By analyzing thermodynamic and kinetic data, the Simular calorimeter enables precise process control. It optimizes process conditions and helps identify the safest operational parameters. ICT Mumbai will integrate this system into its research lab. It will support educational programs, mentoring initiatives, and advanced research in chemical synthesis.
