Linde Earns Spot in S&P Global’s 2025 Sustainability Yearbook

Linde plc announced its inclusion in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025, recognizing the company’s outstanding performance in sustainable business practices.

Each year, S&P Global conducts a rigorous Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), analyzing thousands of companies across industries. Out of 7,690 evaluated this year, only those ranking in the top 15% of their sector make it into the Yearbook. Linde not only secured a place but also emerged as the highest-scoring company within the industrial gases category. This achievement cemented its status as a global sustainability leader.

Sustainability Built into Every Layer

“Linde integrates sustainable practices into every aspect of its business. This includes reducing emissions through advanced solutions, engaging in meaningful community initiatives, and maintaining strong governance,” said Erin Catapano, Vice President Sustainability, Linde. “We are proud that S&P Global continues to recognize the efforts of Linde’s employees,” Catapano added. “They play a key role in making our world more productive and sustainable.”

Delivering Impact Beyond Operations

Linde’s impact extends far beyond its own footprint. Through its technologies, products, and services, the company helps customers avoid over 90 million metric tons of CO₂ equivalent (CO₂e) emissions each year. This is more than twice the company’s own global emissions. This positive balance underscores Linde’s role in enabling a low-carbon economy.

Bold Climate Commitments

Linde continues to lead with ambitious climate goals. It has a science-based target to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 2035 and a vision to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. As per the press release, the company is also a participant in the United Nations Global Compact. It is listed in key sustainability indices, including the FTSE4Good Index and the Dow Jones Best-In-Class Indices.
