L&T’s WET Business Bags EPC Contract

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Water & Effluent Treatment (WET) business has won significant engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts from the Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan. These contracts reinforce L&T’s leadership in delivering complex water infrastructure across the region.

Major EPC Project for Rural Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation

A key order awarded to L&T pertains to the Rajasthan Rural Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation Project – Phase II, Package-1. The comprehensive scope of work includes:

*Supply and installation of 5,251 km of transmission and distribution pipelines

*Construction of 38 ground-level reservoirs (total capacity: 40 million litres)

*Twenty pump houses and 132 overhead service reservoirs with a combined capacity of 25 million litres

The critical infrastructure project will provide a reliable water supply to 285 villages and the towns of Surajgarh and Udaipurwati in the Jhunjhunu district.

Additional Project in Ajmer District

L&T has also secured another contract focused on the strengthening and rehabilitation of the water supply system in the Kekri-Sarwar sector of Ajmer district. The scope covers:

*Supply and installation of 43 km of transmission pipelines

*Integrated electromechanical, instrumentation, automation, and SCADA systems

Both projects also include a one-year defects liability period followed by ten years of operations and maintenance, ensuring long-term service reliability and performance.

Proven Track Record in Rajasthan

These repeat orders reflect the trust and confidence placed in L&T by the Rajasthan government. According to the company press release, the firm has successfully executed twenty-four water infrastructure projects in the state so far. This demonstrates their consistent delivery and engineering excellence.
