The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has discovered a competitive price of ₹52.50 per kg in its latest green ammonia auction for Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (GNFC), Bharuch.
Onix Renewable Emerges as Winning Bidder
Onix Renewable Ltd secured the bid to produce and supply 50,000 tons of green ammonia annually. The capacity allocation took place through the fifth electronic reverse auction (e-RA), conducted under Tranche-I, Mode-2A of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s SIGHT Scheme.
Context from Previous Auctions
In earlier rounds, several players secured significant capacities at competitive rates:
*ACME Cleantech – 75,000 TPA at ₹55.75/kg
*NTPC Renewable Energy – 70,000 TPA at ₹51.80/kg
*Oriana Power – 60,000 TPA at ₹52.25/kg
*SSC Infrastructure – 70,000 TPA at ₹53.05/kg
