Engineers India Limited (EIL) floated a tender for the supply of an extruder and pelletizer package for the upcoming polypropylene unit (PPU) at Numaligarh Refinery in Assam. The critical package will form the backbone of polymer processing at the new facility.
NRL’s Ambitious Polypropylene Project
Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) is setting up a polypropylene unit with a design capacity of 360 kilo tons per annum (KTPA). The unit will produce homo-polymer polypropylene and will be supported by associated facilities at Golaghat district in Assam.
EIL as EPCM Consultant
EIL is serving as the engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) consultant for the major expansion. Its role includes managing procurement of specialized equipment essential for smooth operations.
Enhancing Product Portfolio
Once commissioned, the PPU will significantly boost NRL’s product portfolio by adding value-added petrochemical products. The extruder and pelletizer equipment will play a central role in ensuring efficient polymer conversion and production quality.
Bid Submission Timeline
