ORSL Bags International Grant to Valorise Mango Waste Through Bioeconomy Network

Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL) announced that its research and innovation centre, ORSRIC, bagged a prestigious international grant under the project “Danish-Thai-Indian Circular Bioeconomy Network for Mango Waste Valorisation.” The University of Southern Denmark is coordinating the initiative, with research partners from Thailand, IIT Mumbai and ORSL. This recognition reinforces ORSL’s growing leadership in bio-waste valorisation, bioenergy solutions and circular economy technologies.

Project Backed by Danish Innovation Network Programme

The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science (DAHES) has awarded the project a framework grant of DKK 1,028,800 under the Global Innovation Network Programme. The project will run from January 2026 to March 2027. It will support cross-border collaboration and strengthen global innovation in sustainable resource utilisation.

Driving High-Value Waste Valorisation Technologies

The project will develop advanced technologies and business models. Its focus is on converting agricultural residues, especially mango waste, into high-value bioproducts, bioenergy and sustainable materials.

ORSL will play a central role by contributing its expertise in:

*Anaerobic digestion

*Biogas and compressed biogas (CBG) production

*Organic waste processing

*Scalable commercialisation pathways for waste-to-value solutions

These capabilities will help accelerate the development of practical, industry-ready technologies.

Strengthening Global Circular Bioeconomy Collaboration

Dr Manju Tanwar, Head of ORS-RIC at ORSL, said the partnership marks a significant step forward in global cooperation for circular bioeconomy solutions. She added that close collaboration with the University of Southern Denmark, IIT Mumbai and Thai research partners will boost ORSL’s ongoing commitment to innovation in sustainable technologies. The project will promote technology exchange, joint research and scalable industrial applications, delivering benefits to farmers, industry stakeholders and the environment.

A Boost to Sustainable Waste Management

With this international grant, ORSL is set to expand its role as a key contributor to global sustainability initiatives. As reported by constructionworld.in, the company aims to push the boundaries of circular bioeconomy innovation. It is focused on creating impactful, real-world waste-to-value solutions.
