Eurofragance Appoints Joan Pere Jiménez as CEO

Joan Pere Jiménez officially took over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Eurofragance on January 1, 2026. Headquartered in Barcelona, the multinational perfume house reinforced its commitment to developing internal leadership while strengthening its long-term position in the global fragrance industry through this appointment. With this leadership transition, Eurofragance enters a new phase focused on continuity, growth, and strategic execution.

Strategy Anchored in Innovation, People and Customers

As CEO, Jiménez will steer Eurofragance through a strategic roadmap built on three core pillars—Innovation, People, and Customers. Together, these priorities aim to sharpen the company’s competitive positioning while accelerating expansion across key international markets. By aligning creativity, talent development, and customer-centricity, the strategy is designed to drive sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving fragrance landscape.

A Carefully Planned Leadership Transition

Eurofragance initiated the succession process in 2023 and executed it throughout 2025 to ensure a seamless transition and preserve strategic momentum. Laurent Mercier, who has served as CEO since 2018, will continue to support the company as a member of the Board of Directors, ensuring continuity at the governance level. This structured handover reflects Eurofragance’s long-term approach to leadership development and organizational stability.

Global Experience Shapes the New CEO’s Vision

Jiménez brings more than a decade of experience within Eurofragance, having held several senior roles on the Executive Committee. He joined the company as Chief Operations Officer, where he strengthened operational efficiency and advanced global industrial development. Subsequently, he led the company’s international expansion across Europe, Africa, and Turkey, before driving growth in the Asia Pacific region. From January 2024 until the end of 2025, he served as Chief Market Officer, overseeing all global markets and reinforcing Eurofragance’s international footprint.

Driving Growth Through Expansion and Digital Transformation

Jiménez said that assuming the CEO role represents both a responsibility and an opportunity to build on recent achievements. His immediate focus includes strengthening Eurofragance’s global leadership position, reinforcing regional operations, and accelerating growth in strategically important markets. To support these goals, his plan includes expanding the company’s manufacturing network and Creative Centers to move closer to customers. At the same time, Eurofragance will advance an ambitious transformation agenda, leveraging digitalization and the tactical use of AI tools to enhance agility, boost innovation, and deepen customer engagement.

Strong Support from Founders and the Board

Eurofragance’s founding family, Board of Directors, and leadership team have expressed strong confidence in Jiménez’s appointment. They have entrusted him with preserving the company’s values while defining new strategic priorities to secure future growth. As per the press release, Santiago Sabatés, President and Founder of Eurofragance, welcomed the transition, noting that Jiménez’s deep understanding of the company’s culture, industry expertise, and proven leadership make him well suited to guide Eurofragance through its next phase of development.
