INOX Air Products Private Limited (INOXAP), manufacturer of industrial and medical gases, has entered into a long-term partnership with TACC Limited (The Advanced Carbons Company). INOXAP will supply high-purity nitrogen through a dedicated onsite nitrogen plant at TACC’s upcoming greenfield manufacturing facility in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. The plant will support the production of lithium-ion battery-grade graphite anode material, a critical component for electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems.
Build, Own and Operate Model Ensures Reliable Nitrogen Supply
INOXAP will establish the nitrogen plant on a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) basis. Through this model, the company will ensure uninterrupted, safe, and high-purity nitrogen supply tailored to TACC’s manufacturing requirements. By deploying advanced gas generation infrastructure onsite, INOXAP will enhance operational efficiency while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards. Consequently, TACC will benefit from consistent process performance and optimized product quality.
Strengthening India’s Advanced Carbon Materials Ecosystem
Diganta Sarma, Head – Business Development and Strategy, INOX Air Products, stated, “TACC stands at the forefront of advanced carbon materials, and this partnership reflects a strong alignment of purpose, sustainability, and ambition. This long-term agreement reinforces our expertise and operational capabilities in enabling the production of high-performance materials that are critical to India’s growth in electric mobility, energy storage, and the broader clean energy transition. At INOXAP, we view this partnership as a strategic step towards building a resilient, future-ready industrial value chain.” Indeed, the collaboration underscores INOXAP’s expanding role in supporting high-tech manufacturing sectors, particularly those linked to clean energy and electric mobility.
Supporting Lithium-Ion Battery and Graphene Innovation
TACC specializes in developing battery-grade synthetic graphite anode materials for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. In addition, the company is advancing graphene-based derivatives, which offer transformative potential across industries such as:
*Construction
*Textiles
*Paints and coatings
*Other industrial applications
The assured nitrogen supply will enhance process precision, purity levels, and overall manufacturing efficiency. As a result, TACC can scale production while maintaining global quality standards. Ankur Khaitan, Managing Director and CEO, TACC, emphasized, “Manufacturing battery-grade graphite demands precision, purity, and reliability. Our partnership with INOXAP ensures a dependable, high-purity nitrogen supply that is critical to achieving global standards at scale. Together, we aim to strengthen India’s advanced materials ecosystem and support the nation’s clean energy and electric mobility ambitions.”
Enabling India’s Clean Energy Transition
Through the collaboration, INOXAP continues to strengthen its position in building future-ready industrial gas infrastructure. At the same time, it sets new benchmarks in supply reliability, operational safety, and regulatory compliance. Moreover, this partnership directly supports India’s push toward electric mobility, domestic battery manufacturing, and a resilient clean energy ecosystem. By enabling the production of high-performance carbon materials, INOX Air Products and TACC are jointly laying the foundation for sustainable industrial growth. As per the press release, as demand for lithium-ion batteries and advanced carbon materials accelerates, strategic partnerships like this will play a pivotal role in shaping India’s green energy future.
