OIL and CSIR-IMMT Sign MOU to Boost Critical Minerals R&D under NCMM

Oil India Limited (OIL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the CSIR–Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT) to undertake collaborative research and development in the field of critical minerals. The partnership aligns with the objectives of the National Critical Mineral Mission (NCMM) and aims to strengthen India’s strategic capabilities in securing essential mineral resources. Through the collaboration, both organisations will work together to develop advanced technologies and scientific solutions that support India’s long-term resource security.

Joint R&D Focus on Lithium, Cobalt and Rare Earth Elements

Under the agreement, OIL and CSIR-IMMT will carry out joint R&D initiatives focused on critical minerals such as lithium, cobalt, and rare earth elements.
