Pi Green Innovations Pvt Ltd has partnered with EcoGuard Global AG to digitise carbon capture methodologies and deploy advanced digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) systems. The collaboration will serve clients across India as well as global markets, strengthening technology-driven carbon management solutions.
India’s Carbon Market Gains Momentum
The partnership comes at a time when India’s carbon market is rapidly evolving. Backed by a ₹20,000 crore allocation for carbon capture and storage and a newly operational compliance framework, the country is emerging as a key hub for carbon abatement and trading. As a result, the demand for transparent, verifiable, and scalable carbon solutions is increasing significantly.
Combining Technology and Digital Infrastructure
The collaboration brings together Pi Green’s patented carbon capture and utilisation technologies with EcoGuard’s digital carbon infrastructure. Pi Green offers innovative solutions such as the Carbon Cutter device for particulate capture and the Net Zero Machine, which converts industrial emissions into carbon-negative construction materials. Meanwhile, EcoGuard’s platform leverages distributed ledger technology to enable end-to-end MRV, real-time traceability, and seamless carbon credit issuance.
Deployment of dMRV Systems and Global Standards
Under the agreement, EcoGuard will digitise Pi Green’s carbon capture methodology in line with international standards. In addition, it will deploy a robust dMRV platform that automates data capture, reporting, and verification processes. This system will enhance transparency and enable efficient, trustworthy carbon transactions for project developers and stakeholders.
Enabling Scalable and Market-Ready Carbon Projects
The initiative is expected to strengthen readiness for third-party validation while helping clients transition toward technology-driven, market-ready carbon project frameworks. By integrating digital tools with carbon capture technologies, the partnership aims to accelerate industrial decarbonisation efforts.
Leadership Perspective on the Collaboration
Irfan Pathan, Co-founder and CEO of Pi Green Innovations, emphasised that the future of industrial decarbonisation will depend not only on breakthrough technologies but also on the ability to measure, verify, and scale impact with credibility. He noted that the partnership marks a significant step toward building a digitally enabled ecosystem for carbon capture projects.
Yashodhan Ramteke highlighted that the evolving Carbon Markets 2.0 landscape demands trust, transparency, and auditability. He added that the collaboration will enable clients to create more transparent, traceable, and standards-aligned pathways for climate value creation.
Driving the Future of Carbon Management
Overall, the partnership between Pi Green and EcoGuard underscores a broader shift toward digitalisation in carbon markets. By combining innovation with transparency, both companies are positioning themselves at the forefront of next-generation carbon capture and verification solutions.
