Indo Borax and Chemicals Ltd, manufacturer of boron-based chemicals, strengthened its leadership and Board of Directors with the appointment of industry veteran Suresh Kalra as the new Managing Director & CEO. The move marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to expand into new product categories and global markets.
Industry Veteran to Lead Next Phase of Growth
With decades of experience in the global chemicals sector, Suresh Kalra brings extensive expertise in scaling businesses, operational excellence, and strategic expansion. Over the years, he has held senior leadership positions at Aquapharm Chemical Limited, hubergroup Germany, SI Group, and W. R. Grace, where he successfully managed large-scale manufacturing operations, P&L responsibilities, and international business expansion. At Indo Borax, Kalra will focus on driving long-term growth through innovation, operational optimisation, and market diversification.
New Core Leadership Team Strengthens Operations
To support the company’s next growth phase, Indo Borax has also inducted an experienced leadership team across key business functions. Kamlesh Joshi has joined as Chief Commercial Officer & CHRO. With more than 25 years of experience in speciality chemicals and distribution, he has previously worked with Brenntag, hubergroup Germany, SI Group, and AkzoNobel. His expertise spans commercial strategy, supply chain management, and international business development.
Shashikant Bharuka has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Bharuka brings over 24 years of experience in finance, accounting, and corporate reporting. He has previously held senior finance roles at Lupin, Unichem Laboratories, and Ajanta Pharma. The company also continues to benefit from the expertise of Govind Parmar, a long-serving Indo Borax veteran who currently oversees factory operations as Director, Factory.
Harsh Malhotra Joins Board as Executive Director
Harsh Malhotra, a second-generation entrepreneur representing the new promoter group Zenrock Chemicals, has been appointed Executive Director of the company. Malhotra brings more than a decade of international experience in operations, supply chain management, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Indo Borax, he worked with Amazon in the United States, leading large-scale operational and planning initiatives across multiple regions. He holds a Master of Science in International Business from Ivey Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.
