Engineers India Limited (EIL), one of India’s leading engineering consultancy and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, appointed Atul Gupta as its new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) with effect from June 29, 2026. The appointment marks a key leadership transition for the state-owned engineering company following the retirement of former CMD Vartika Shukla.
Appointment Approved by Board Following Ministry Communication
The appointment was made pursuant to a communication from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) and was subsequently noted and approved by the Board of Directors of Engineers India Limited. Prior to assuming the top leadership role, Gupta served as Director (Commercial) at EIL, where he played a key role in driving the company’s commercial strategy and business operations.
