BASF Agricultural Solutions expanded its crop protection portfolio in India with the launch of Melyra® Fungicide and Inveris® Gold Insecticide. The two advanced crop protection solutions are designed to help Indian farmers effectively combat crop diseases and insect pests while enhancing productivity and supporting sustainable farming practices. By introducing these innovative products, BASF aims to address the evolving challenges faced by farmers, including increasing pest resistance, disease pressure, and the growing demand for higher crop yields.

Melyra® Fungicide Delivers Advanced Disease Control

Melyra® is a next-generation, broad-spectrum fungicide powered by Revysol® Active, BASF’s innovative isopropanol azole molecule that provides effective disease management while helping delay the development of fungicide resistance. In addition, the formulation combines Revysol® Active with pyraclostrobin, enabling BASF’s AgCelence® benefits that improve plant vitality, enhance crop performance, and contribute to better overall productivity. The fungicide is suitable for a wide range of crops, including cotton, groundnut, soybean, chilli and tomato.  By delivering both disease protection and improved plant health, Melyra® supports farmers in achieving healthier crops and higher yields.

Inveris® Gold Offers Broad-Spectrum Insect Protection

Complementing the fungicide launch, Inveris® Gold Insecticide features a dual-active formulation that provides broad-spectrum control of piercing and sucking pests commonly affecting vegetable crops. Inveris® Gold is recommended for vegetable crops such as chilli, tomato, brinjal, cucumber, and okra. The product has been developed to support Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices by taking into account the protection of beneficial insects, thereby contributing to more balanced and sustainable pest control strategies.

Designed for India’s Agricultural Needs

According to BASF, both products have been specifically developed to address the agronomic requirements of Indian farmers. Giridhar Ranuva, Director, BASF Agricultural Solutions India, said, “With BASF Melyra and Inveris Gold, we are expanding our crop protection portfolio in India with solutions tailored to local agronomic needs. These innovations reflect our ongoing investment in research and development to help farmers manage resistance, address pest and disease pressure, and improve productivity in a more sustainable way.”

Expanding BASF’s Crop Protection Portfolio

The introduction of Melyra® and Inveris® Gold further reinforces BASF’s commitment to delivering innovative crop protection technologies that improve farm productivity while supporting sustainable agriculture. As Indian agriculture continues to face increasing challenges from climate variability, pest outbreaks, and resistance management, BASF’s latest offerings provide farmers with advanced solutions that combine effective crop protection, improved plant health, and responsible farming practices. As per the press release, through continued investment in agricultural innovation, BASF aims to help farmers achieve higher yields, better crop quality, and long-term sustainability across India’s diverse farming landscape.
