Coromandel International received Responsible Care Certification from the Indian Chemical Council for all 18 of its manufacturing facilities across its Nutrients, Crop Protection Chemicals, Specialty Nutrients and Bio businesses. The certification is valid from April 2026 to March 2029 and places Coromandel among a select group of chemical manufacturers recognised under the globally accepted Responsible Care framework.

The programme is administered internationally by the International Council of Chemical Associations and is implemented in more than 70 countries. Consequently, certification demonstrates alignment with internationally recognised responsible manufacturing practices.
Comprehensive Assessment Led to Certification
The ICC awarded the certification after conducting a detailed assessment and verification process across Coromandel’s operations. In preparation, the company implemented a structured improvement programme covering manufacturing sites, business functions and its supplier ecosystem.
Key areas of focus included strengthening process safety systems, enhancing employee wellbeing initiatives, improving environmental performance, expanding product responsibility measures, enhancing distribution safety and increasing community engagement activities. Moreover, Coromandel applied these measures across multiple business units to create a more consistent and integrated approach to responsible operations.
