Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has incorporated a new joint venture company, ONGC Petrochemicals Marketing Limited (OPML). The development follows ONGC’s earlier intimation dated April 25, 2026, regarding the formation of the joint venture with Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) and ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL). Through OPML, the three companies aim to establish an integrated platform to market and trade petrochemicals, chemicals and related products across the ONGC Group.

Integrated Marketing and Trading Operations

OPML will oversee the integrated marketing and trading of the ONGC Group’s petrochemical products. Its responsibilities will cover branding, business development, pricing, distribution, logistics, customer management, sourcing and trading, as well as sales and operations planning. By bringing these functions together, the joint venture aims to streamline marketing activities, strengthen customer engagement and coordinate the commercial operations of the Group’s petrochemical businesses.

Strengthening the ONGC Group’s Petrochemicals Business

The incorporation of OPML aligns with ONGC’s existing downstream and petrochemicals operations. Moreover, the new company will provide a single, market-facing platform for the Group’s petrochemical products, supporting a more coordinated approach to marketing, distribution and trading. As reported by psuconnect.in, the initiative represents a strategic step towards integrating the ONGC Group’s petrochemicals marketing activities and strengthening its presence in the chemicals and petrochemicals market.
