Vikram Solar bagged an order to supply 289.87 megawatts-peak (MWp) of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for an 810 MW solar power project at the RUVN Solar Park in Pugal, Bikaner, Rajasthan. The order strengthens the company’s position in India’s utility-scale solar market and supports the country’s ongoing renewable energy expansion. Vikram Solar will supply N-type tunnel oxide passivated contact (N-TOPCon) solar modules to NLC India Ltd (NLCIL) on behalf of NLC India Renewables Ltd (NIRL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NLC India Ltd.

Rajasthan Solar Park Supports Renewable Energy Growth

Located in the Thar region, the RUVN Solar Park will harness Rajasthan’s abundant solar resources to contribute to India’s expanding renewable energy capacity. The project also reflects the growing importance of large-scale solar installations in meeting India’s clean energy targets. As demand for renewable electricity increases, high-efficiency solar modules are becoming essential for improving energy generation and project performance.

N-TOPCon Technology Enhances Solar Module Performance

Vikram Solar’s N-TOPCon modules use advanced N-type solar cell technology designed to deliver higher energy yields and stable performance under high solar irradiance and elevated temperatures.

These characteristics make the modules suitable for Rajasthan’s climatic conditions, where intense sunlight and high temperatures can affect solar power generation. Consequently, the technology can help utility-scale projects improve energy output and maintain reliable performance.

Furthermore, the order adds to Vikram Solar’s project pipeline as demand for high-efficiency, India-manufactured solar modules continues to grow. This trend aligns with India’s efforts to strengthen domestic solar manufacturing capabilities and reduce dependence on imported products.

Vikram Solar Emphasises Technology and Supply Reliability

Sameer Nagpal, Chief Executive Officer of Vikram Solar, highlighted the growing importance of advanced technology and reliable supply partnerships as India expands its renewable energy infrastructure. He noted that the order for nearly 290 MWp of solar modules demonstrates confidence in the company’s N-TOPCon technology and its ability to serve large-scale solar projects. Nagpal also emphasised that Vikram Solar continues to strengthen its integrated manufacturing capabilities, with a focus on delivering consistent module performance and dependable supplies for utility-scale installations.

Order Strengthens India’s Solar Energy Expansion

The 289.87 MWp module supply order highlights the role of domestic solar manufacturers in supporting India’s growing renewable energy sector. As reported by manufacturingtodayindia.com, by supplying advanced solar modules for the Rajasthan project, Vikram Solar will contribute to the development of utility-scale solar infrastructure and the wider transition towards clean energy.
