Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) planning to invest around ₹2 lakh crore over the next seven years to expand its renewable energy capacity, according to Executive Director Sagar Adani. The goal is to boost their capacity from 10.9 GW to 50 GW by 2030.
Adani highlighted that 80% of this target will be achieved through solar power, with the remaining 20% coming from wind energy. As reported by businessline, AGEL is also looking forward to establish three projects, each with a 5 GW pump storage capacity, in the southern states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu by 2030 to enhance renewable energy storage.
