Afcons Infrastructure, a key company under the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, has clinched a major contract from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for its upcoming Vinyl project in Dahej, Gujarat. The contract, valued at approximately ₹700 crore, reinforces Afcons’ strong presence in large-scale industrial infrastructure projects.
RIL Issues Letter of Award
RIL has issued a Letter of Award (LoA) to Afcons, entrusting the company with comprehensive construction responsibilities for the project. The scope includes civil, mechanical, and allied works, along with the installation, testing, and commissioning of critical systems required for the facility.
Performance-Based Contract Structure
While the estimated contract value stands at ₹700 crore, actual payments will depend on the value of work completed, in line with the agreement’s performance-linked payment terms. This structure ensures greater accountability and flexibility in project execution.
Project Completion Target: June 2026
Afcons is expected to deliver the project by end-June 2026, aligning with RIL’s broader strategy to enhance its petrochemicals footprint. As reported by projxnews.com, the Dahej Vinyl facility will add significant capacity and contribute to Reliance’s integrated production chain.
