Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are rapidly modernising the chemical industry through smarter data-driven decision-making, advanced process automation, and intelligent optimization systems, according to Prof. Mahadeva Prasanna, Director of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Dharwad.
He was speaking at the inauguration of a three-day workshop on ‘Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Chemical Engineers’, organised by the Department of Chemical Engineering at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology (SDMCET) in Dharwad. The workshop was held in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), BRC Bengaluru.
