AMG and RWE Supply & Trading signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a long term partnership for the supply of green ammonia from AMG’s plants in India. Under the agreement, AMG will supply up to 2,50,000 tons of green ammonia annually.

The ammonia will be produced at AMG’s facilities in Kakinada and Tuticorin, with 2,00,000 tons coming from the Tuticorin plant and 50,000 tons from the Kakinada unit.

The green ammonia will comply with the Renewable Energy Directive (RED III) standards for Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO).

AMG’s Kakinada plant has already received pre-certification for RFNBO compliance, while pre-certification is in progress for other facilities. As reported by manufacturingtodayindia.com, deliveries from AMG’s plants are expected to start in 2027.
