The New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) has invited bids for a development partner to establish a Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) to Energy processing facility in Nellore.
Project Scope and Investment
The project, valued at ₹200 crore, will be developed on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer (DBFOT) model. The selected developer will be responsible for constructing and operating:
- MSW processing units
- A waste-to-energy (WtE) facility
- A scientific landfill for residual waste disposal
- Timeline and Operational Requirements
The concessionaire must ensure the commercial operation date (COD) of the WtE facility within 24 months from the effective date. Once operational, the facility will be maintained for 25 years under the agreement.
