ANERT Seeks Consultants for Kerala Green Hydrogen Project

The Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has released tender seeking consultants to establish project management units for green hydrogen initiatives in Kerala. As per the notification, developers are required to provide an annual performance bank guarantee equivalent to three percent of the total contract value.

The consultancy engagement will span three years from the selection date, with annual incremental charges of up to five percent. To qualify as a consultant, applicants must have prior experience as a management consultant in government projects within the last decade.

ANERT has been designated as the nodal agency for Kerala’s green hydrogen endeavours. The deadline for bid submissions is set for September 15, 2023. In July 2023, ANERT issued an invitation for bids related to 1.24 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar power plants in Thiruvananthapuram.

As reported by RenewableWatch, this project is part of the solar city project funded under the smart city Thiruvananthapuram initiative. The project scope encompasses the design, supply, engineering, erection, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar power systems, along with a 10-year operation and maintenance commitment. In May 2023, ANERT released a request for proposals to commission a one MW rooftop solar installation at BrahMos Aerospace in Thiruvananthapuram.
