CleanMax, a renewable energy firm, announced collaboration with Apple aimed at advancing the adoption of renewable energy in India. As part of the partnership, CleanMax successfully installed rooftop solar facilities totalling 14.4 megawatts across six industrial sites in India. It anticipated that these installations will collectively reduce approximately 2,07,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions throughout their operational lifespan.
According to Kuldeep Jain, Managing Director, CleanMax, the partnership is a significant milestone in their sustainability journey. He also noted the growing interest from other consumer brands in similar joint ventures, indicating a positive shift towards sustainability.

The collaboration is underpinned by an innovative business model, wherein the environmental benefits generated by the financed projects will aid Apple in mitigating emissions associated with its operations in the country.
Lisa Jackson, Apple’s Vice President of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, highlighted the company’s commitment to achieving its ambitious Apple 2030 climate goal. She emphasized the importance of simultaneously working towards transforming electrical grids and restoring watersheds to build a cleaner future for all.
