Atlas Copco Expands Industrial Pump Portfolio with Acquisition of Kracht

Atlas Copco Group is set to acquire Kracht GmbH, a German company specialising in external gear pumps, fluid measurement, valves, hydraulic drives, and dosing systems. Established in 1911 and headquartered in Werdohl, Germany, Kracht operates globally with subsidiaries in the US, China, and Hungary.

As reported by WORLD PUMPS, the acquisition is contingent upon regulatory approval and is anticipated to be finalized in the first quarter of 2024. Upon completion, Kracht will be integrated into the Power and Flow Division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area.

“Last year, we acquired Lewa and Wangen, and we are now further expanding our portfolio within positive displacement pumps with additional technologies,” said Andrew Walker, Atlas Copco’s Business Area President Power Technique. Walker added, “The industrial pump segment has been identified as a strategic fit for the Group. This acquisition will be a further step for us within this segment, which plays a crucial role within many industries”.
