Attero is planning a significant investment of around ₹8,300 crore over the next five years to boost its recycling capacity, according to CEO and Co-Founder Nitin Gupta. Currently, the company recycles up to 1,44,000 tons of electronic waste and 15,000 tons of lithium-ion batteries each year.
Gupta has highlighted that Attero is experiencing a 100 percent annual growth rate and intends to expand its capacity by establishing a new greenfield facility in Poland and another in India, potentially located in Andhra Pradesh or Jharkhand. The expansion aims to increase Attero’s e-waste recycling capacity to 4,15,000 tons per year and its battery recycling capacity to 50,000 tonnes per year.
The company has set a target to achieve a revenue of approximately ₹16,500 crore by 2027. Attero reported revenues of ₹285 crore in FY23 and Rs 440 crore in FY24, with an expectation to surpass ₹1,000 crore this year.
As reported by ManufacturingToday, Gupta also pointed out Attero’s competitive edge, including a 98 percent extraction efficiency and significantly lower capital and operational expenditures compared to global standards. Attero currently commands a 25 percent market share in India, which is projected to rise to 35 percent next year, while its nearest competitor holds less than a ten percent share.
