Avaada Electro, the manufacturing arm of the Avaada Group, has unveiled an ambitious expansion plan to boost its solar module and cell manufacturing capacity at its Butibori facility in Nagpur. The company aims to scale both module and cell production capacities to 12 GW each by the next financial year. This move will position it among India’s largest integrated solar manufacturers. Currently, the Butibori plant’s capacity is on track to reach 7 GW by next month. This marks a significant step forward in Avaada’s phased growth strategy.
Butibori Facility Secures ALMM Certification
In a major milestone for its manufacturing operations, Avaada Electro made a key announcement. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has added its Butibori plant to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). The certification is essential for supplying solar products to government-supported projects in India. It serves as a key credential for domestic manufacturers.
Launch of High-Efficiency N-Type TOPCon Modules
With the ALMM certification in place, Avaada Electro rolled out its latest high-efficiency solar modules—the 720 Wp and 630 Wp N-type TOPCon series. These modules mark a technological leap in energy conversion efficiency. They promise to boost performance across utility-scale and commercial solar projects.
“We are proud to lead India’s solar manufacturing revolution,” said Vineet Mittal, Chairman and Founder of Avaada Group. He was speaking on the ALMM certification of the Butibori plant and the commercial launch of Avaada’s 720 Wp and 630 Wp N-type TOPCon modules.
Advancing India’s Clean Energy Goals
Avaada’s expansion aligns with India’s national clean energy mission. The mission aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing, reduce import dependency, and accelerate the adoption of renewable energy projects. The ALMM initiative, launched by the Indian government, plays a vital role in supporting indigenous production and encouraging innovation in the solar manufacturing sector. Avaada’s Dadri facility already holds ALMM certification, further reinforcing the group’s growing presence across the country.
Driving the Solar Manufacturing Revolution
Projectstoday.com reports that Avaada Electro is set to lead India’s solar energy transformation. The company is actively scaling up operations, driving technological innovation, and aligning with government initiatives. It continues to expand its footprint, backed by ALMM certification and next-gen module technology—highlighting its commitment to powering India’s renewable future from factory to field.
