Avaada to Set up Six GW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Avaada Group and the Gujarat government, marking a collaboration to develop a 6,000 MW wind-solar hybrid project. Spanning across various districts of Gujarat, the venture has an estimated investment of ₹400 billion. The hybrid project is strategically planned to occupy predominantly underdeveloped wastelands in Kutch. Avaada Group’s green hydrogen or ammonia projects will benefit from the project.

The joint effort is poised to make significant strides in reducing carbon emissions and lessening dependence on conventional power sources, presenting innovative solutions that aim to revolutionise the energy sector. As reported by RenewableWatch, in October 2023, Avaada Group and Gopalpur Port Limited formalised an MoU for the establishment of a green ammonia storage facility at the Gopalpur port.
