Best Agrolife Ltd (BAL) is planning to acquire Sudarshan Farm Chemicals India Pvt Ltd. (SFCL), a brand, which is known for its innovative process chemistries and a substantial intellectual property (IP) portfolio comprising ten patents (applied). The strategic move by BAL aims to capitalize on SFCL’s strong research and development (R&D) capabilities, extensive IP assets, and deep technical manufacturing expertise.
The acquisition is intended to enable BAL to tap into SFCL’s proficiency in developing cost-effective and unique manufacturing processes for off-patent molecules. By integrating SFCL’s R&D division and IP portfolio with its own R&D facilities in Gajraula and Noida, BAL seeks to enhance its technical capacities both in brownfield and greenfield projects.
As reported by Devdiscourse, BAL is among the leading players in the agrochemical industry, boasting manufacturing capacities of 7,000 MTPA for technicals and 30,000 MTPA for formulations across its manufacturing plants in Gajraula, Greater Noida, and Jammu and Kashmir.
